Dayko.ai, Inc. ("Dayko," "we," "us," or "our"), a venture of Taazaa Inc., operates the Dayko platform and associated mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

By using Dayko, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

• Account data: Name, email address, company name, job title, and password when you register.
• Profile data: Optional profile photo, time zone, and communication preferences.
• Workspace content: Documents, tasks, messages, notes, contacts, and other content you create inside Dayko.
• Communications: Support messages, feedback submissions, and survey responses.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, clicks, and session durations.
• Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers.
• Log data: Server logs including request timestamps, error reports, and performance metrics.
• Cookies and similar technologies: Session cookies for authentication, preference cookies, and analytics cookies. See Section 7 for details.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

• If you connect a third-party integration (e.g., Google Calendar, Slack), we receive data necessary to power that connection.
• If you sign up via an identity provider (e.g., Google SSO), we receive your name and email from that provider.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Dayko platform.
• Authenticate users and maintain account security.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, security alerts).
• Send product updates and announcements (you may opt out at any time).
• Respond to support requests.
• Analyze aggregate usage to improve features and performance.
• Power Ray (our AI agent) to provide cross-app reasoning within your workspace.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your workspace content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

3. AI and Ray

Dayko includes Ray, an AI agent that operates across your workspace. Ray processes content from apps you have authorized in order to answer queries and automate tasks.

• Ray processes data within your tenant boundary. Your data is never shared with other tenants.
• Ray may use third-party AI inference providers (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) under strict data processing agreements. These providers do not train their models on your data.
• Ray conversation history is retained for 90 days unless you delete it earlier.

4. Data Sharing

We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers: Hosting, email delivery, analytics, and customer support tools operating under data processing agreements.
• Your integrations: Data you explicitly choose to sync with connected third-party apps.
• Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights, safety, and property.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate notice to affected users.
• With your consent: For any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Upon account deletion:

• Workspace content is deleted within 30 days.
• Backups are purged within 90 days.
• Certain records may be retained longer where required by law.

6. Your Rights

All Users

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
• Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Portability: Export your workspace data in machine-readable formats.
• Objection: Object to processing for direct marketing.

EEA/UK Users (GDPR)

You have additional rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing, the right to withdraw consent, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

California Users (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information), and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

7. Cookies

You may disable non-essential cookies in your browser settings. This may affect some functionality.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication, regular security audits, and SOC 2 Type II compliance (in progress).

9. Children's Privacy

Dayko is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us at privacy@dayko.ai.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
